Chiropractic therapy

Treatments from £36

As Chiropractic health care professionals we diagnosis, treat and prevent mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

University qualified, having studied for over 5 years, our practitioners deliver Chiropractic treatment through manipulation ‘adjusting’ the musculoskeletal system, re-aligning the body, especially in and around the spinal column.

Initial consultations involve a full history examination and diagnosis of your complaint, followed by the appropriate treatment.

Fully trained, we read medical images like X-rays and MRI scans and if necessary we will refer you on to other health care professionals.

Rebecca Oliver. Practitioner at Biddenden Chiropractic, treating a child with paediatric chiropractic manipulation.

Paediatric chiropractor

Treatments from just £25

Mechanical stress to the human musculoskeletal and nervous system often begins during birth or sometimes even in utero.

Joint and muscular injury or restrictions are not uncommon from the forces used during labour, especially so in cases when forceps, suction or caesarian section are involved.

Unfortunately, all too often the need for spinal care for newborns, infants and children goes unrecognized and untreated.

Rebecca is trained to examine and treat babies and small children. With the greatest of care, she delivers gentle 'adjustments' to the spinal and pelvic restrictions as well as cranial mobilisation.

A patient struggling with headaches and dizzyness, requiring a functional neurology assessment at Biddenden Chiropractic.

Functional neurology

60 minute assessment costs £55

Traditionally, neurology tends to look at disease of the nervous system as black-and-white with one side being optimal neurological function and the other being neurological disease such as tumours, strokes etc.

Functional Neurology examines and detects areas of lesser function within the nervous system. This can be detected by testing eye movements, fine movement control, balance, etc.

An unbalanced central nervous system can cause a variety of neurological problems like headaches or dizziness, yet by eliminating restrictions and restoring proper stimulation to the brain, normal cell function can return.

Rebecca Wissman. Practitioner at Biddenden Chiropractic, giving a client massage therapy.

Massage therapy

Treatments from £35

Massage therapy focuses on the muscles, facia and tissues around them, easing pain, stiffness and fatigue, reducing muscle tension and promoting flexibility to prevent further injury.

Modern lifestyles tend to have a detrimental effect on the muscular skeletal system and the way we move, lift, bend and spend large amounts of our time sitting down will shorten or lengthen the muscle fibres.

Some muscles are overworked, become tired, injured, or weak. When muscle fibres get tensed, shortened or are weak, tensions and knots build in these areas. Massage can help relieve day to day stiffness and pain, repetitive strain injury, tension and fatigue.

K Laser therapy

A course of 6 treatments cost £25 per session

We are excited to offer laser therapy, having purchased Kent's only class IV K-Laser. Results using this cutting edge system have been positive, receiving five star reviews from patients who have experienced its healing power.

K-Laser works by penetrating deep into musculoskeletal tissue, helping accelerate cell metabolism and increasing blood flow. As a result, the skin, tendons, ligaments and muscles are all repaired faster with reduced inflammation, scarring and pain.

This is a safe and non-invasive technique that is suitable for all, from athletes to children, pregnant women and the infirm.

Tom Claykens. Practitioner at Biddenden Chiropractic, treating a patient with Dry Needles.

Dry needling

Offered alongside other services

Also called ‘Western Acupuncture’ this technique is used to treat muscular problems and works by inserting a small, sterile needle into the muscle’s trigger point, with the intent to reduce pain and increase range of motion.

This is believed to be achieved by normalising dysfunctions of the motor end plates, helping the body to heal quicker, with more efficiency.

Offered as a complimentary therapeutic treatment to our other Chiropractic services, we often use this technique along with Dry Cupping, Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy, to help our clients recover quickly from their related injuries.
