On Sunday 3rd of March, we organised the 'Big Biddenden Spring Clean'.
We are grateful to The Bakehouse for hosting the HQ and to Ashford Borough Council for their support and picking up the humongous pile of rubbish.
BUT... Especially thank you to the 80+ volunteers who showed up and made it all happen. Two of these local heroes asked to do a bit more the following weekend. However, all the litter pickers and bin bag holders are ABC property and we had to return them. We then thought... "Let's buy them and have them available year-round!"
That's exactly what we did. From now, you can go to The Bakehouse, 10 High Street Biddenden, during their opening hours (Wed-Sat 9-4) and borrow the tools required for a top-up clean.
This with the intention of keeping the village clean the whole year!
