To move or to immobilize?
The golden rule when it comes to shoulder injuries is to keep it moving within the pain free range as much as possible. It is tempting to immobilize the shoulder altogether with the idea to protect the area, however this may lead to frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis, which is a joint capsule inflammation. It will restrict any movement and may take two years to fully recover.
